I loved making this piece, inspired by a visit to my friend who is a museum curator, she took me on a backroom tour to look in all the specimen drawers. These are specimens from the Abyss, collected by Ichthyologist S. Lark. I loved being able to use the word Ichthyologist! SOLD at Clwydian Creatives Open Studios Art Trail.
'Bioluminescence.' A wreck created from a bit of driftwood, rusty nails, an old hinge and some nuts, mounted on driftwood which is brushed with sparkles to represent bioluminescence. SOLD at Echo Beach, Beaumaris.
Could be a Curlew? People often bring me old tins of 'stuff' from their garden sheds. I believe this bird's bill is called a cotter pin? Well, whatever it's called it makes an ideal curlew bill. SOLD
This piece was inspired by an old Welsh barn in Snowdonia with a typical Welsh slate fence. The base piece had a natural gash in it which was perfect for the pieces of slate to slot into. SOLD at Echo Beach, Beaumaris
